For our more enthusiastic fans, we provide modding support, a virtual-reality version of the game and the ability to share their know-how, experiences and suggestions with us through our forums. Many of these features are then frequently implemented into the game in the form of free updates. Thanks to our World of Trucks service, truckers can share their best gaming moments with their friends through an intuitive user interface. As kids, we once dreamed of driving big rigs, and now it’s a possibility with American Truck Simulator.

- Landmarks to visit – see the Grand Canyon, visit Las Vegas or test your driving skills on winding country roads.
- Our cutting-edge physics engine allows us to simulate multiple aspects of truck behaviour and authentically recreates the challenge of hauling heavy cargoes!
- The game's nature caters to both the driving-oriented and tycoon-based audience. When players want to take a break from maneuvering through the scenic American landscape, he/she can put themselves in the role of a trucking company manager to manage the company’s fleet and drivers.

[SCS Blog] #IDriveDAF! competition: results
SCS Blog posted a topic in SCS BlogAfter our previous contests, we were sure that you won't let us down when we started the #IDriveDAF competition - and you didn't. There were over 3,000(!) valid contest entries on specified social media, and a lot more posted on the World of Trucks galleries, community sites, FB fan-sites and other places.Judging this many entries was a very hard task. With the 'semifinal' pick counting more than 100 pictures, we felt bad for every single one of those discarded as we moved towards the final selection. Pretty often a dozen of you had the same idea for the shot and having to choose only one was very difficult. Sadder still was to exclude wonderful pictures, where the author forgot to tag SCS software or DAF trucks and unfortunately didn't qualify. Nevertheless, we had to choose some winners - and here they are! First place and winner of the DAF miniature truck (large) + SCS hoodie, T-shirt and hat is: Michael SnippeSecond place and winner of the DAF jacket + SCS hoodie and T-shirt is: eurotruckdriver2Third place and winner of the DAF travel bag + SCS T-shirt set and hat is: 杨胜秋Fourth place and winner of the DAF polo shirt + SCS mug set de Luxe or travel mug set and lunchbox is: ArikTheBuilderFifth place and winner of the DAF miniature truck (small) + SCS bag and lanyard is: jecafmAll the winners above will be contacted shortly via the same platform they entered through; if you're one of them, do check your messages! They will also receive a Steam key from our catalogue of their choosing. --- We and DAF Trucks both are very happy that you guys have enjoyed the contest so much - and thus we've decided to reward a few more of you, in addition to the original 5 winners, so here are some honourable mentions picked from the huge number of other wonderful screenshots that didn't make it to the top. Those who submitted these selected images will receive a Steam key from our catalogue of their choosing. Perhaps you would like to express your love for these pictures too; the names are hyperlinked, so you are welcome to click on their names and give them a like! Some were really creative, especially on the start of the contests, when hunt for the locations from the video was most intensive! :)So in no particular order, here they are: Vyacheslav88 ; transnet_group ; sendlok_pl ; mrandytf ; NIHONSAKARI ; Evisson Santos ; SimülasyonTÜRK ; Rikard Johansson ; Christopher Stolzke ; n.anderson Despite the careful pick from both SCS software and DAF trucks, there are still many more amazing pictures - so if you want to see more, just search for #IDriveDAF! We would like to express a massive thank you to all participants. Keep on trucking!View the full article -
[SCS Blog] Black Sea: Turkey
SCS Blog posted a topic in SCS BlogWith players of our American Truck Simulator busy with Washington and Forest Machinery, it's time to show some more of the next expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2. This time, Turkey!Turkey is a pretty big country (783,356 square kilometers) with a population of more than 80 million people. However, Road to the Black Sea will feature only the European part. This part is bordered by Bulgaria and Greece. It says something about the history of this region - from Ancient Greece, through the Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire and Ottoman Empire to the modern Republic of Turkey, this land has seen it all. Thus, you'll find a solid number of landmarks, historical buildings and remnants of the past. Edirne, for example, one of the first cities you'll encounter upon entering Turkey, was founded by the Roman Emperor Hadrian, on the place of the ancient Thracian settlement and later served as the third capital city of the Ottoman Empire.Trucking-wise, Turkey is a great country. The profession of a truck driver is one of high esteem there so anything connected with trucking is usually of a high standard - be it truck stops, gas stations or anything else. But that is a theme for future blog posts. For now, we offer these early screenshots, but we can't wait to reveal more!View the full article -

[SCS Blog] Black Sea: Bulgaria
SCS Blog posted a topic in SCS BlogWhile the news this week has been dominated by the upcoming release of Washington, we have not forgotten our dedicated Euro Truck Simulator 2 fans. Following the release of the 1.35 Update for ETS2, let's keep the ball rolling by talking about the Road to the Black Sea. Next on our list of country profiles; Bulgaria.Bulgaria is a medium-sized Slavic country (110,994 square kilometers) bordered by the Black Sea to the east, and Turkey to the south. Its location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia has led it to serve as the staging ground for multiple cultural and strategic shifts over the past centuries and millennia. As the birthplace of the Cyrillic alphabet in 9th century AD, it was also part of the Byzantine and Ottoman empires, and then the Soviet-led Eastern Bloc, before finally becoming an independent parliamentary republic in 1991. Relics of this amalgamation of cultures can still be seen throughout the country as you drive along its winding country roads, bustling cities, and serene coastal roads. While we can't wait to show you much more in the coming months, here's a collection of a few work-in-progress screenshots to whet your appetite; this time featuring some rustic localities and Soviet-era architecture.View the full article -

[SCS Blog] Washington: Grand Coulee Dam
SCS Blog posted a topic in SCS BlogOn this day in 1942, the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam was completed, after 9 years of construction.Currently, it holds the title of not only the largest dam in the Columbia River Basin but one of the largest in the world. Located west of Spokane, it provides a whopping 2,300 megawatts of hydroelectric power across the state, which is enough power to continuously supply the needs of two cities the size of Seattle!Taller than the Great Pyramids of Giza, at over 550ft tall from its bedrock base and spanning over a mile long, this impressive landmark has been recreated in spectacular detail using unique assets in our upcoming American Truck Simulator map expansion.Amongst one of the new Special Transport routes which you will find in Washington, you will be able to deliver unique and heavy loads to a nearby town, which will offer dam good views of this man-made wonder.View the full article -
[SCS Blog] Washington: Seattle
SCS Blog posted a topic in SCS BlogSeattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Northwest region of the USA. Becoming the fastest-growing major U.S. city in 2016 with over 3.5 million residents, it is home to some of America's largest businesses. With its iconic skyline, famous landmarks and sport stadiums, drivers in our upcoming map expansion will have plenty of scenery to admire, as they travel on the cities' winding highways with its unique interstate junctions. Can you name any of these famous buildings?Creating a mega-city like Seattle is no easy task for our map team; it required careful planning and decision-making to fit the scale and limitations of our map. Despite the challenges of ensuring both quality and optimization for our players, we believe we have managed to create a realistic depiction of Seattle and its landmarks. As you admire the views from your cab, make sure to stay alert for changing speed limits on your drive past Seattle. New technology on variable message-signs will keep you informed of speed restrictions throughout your travels in this busy city.We are sure you will find no shortage of jobs from Seattle, being the shipping gateway to Asia through its many seaports and large airports; truck drivers are always in high demand to distribute and deliver freight across the West Coast and onwards. We are sure you will love traveling to and from the city of Seattle. With its hundreds of coffee shops, it's bound to be a truckers' paradise.View the full article -
[SCS Blog] On The Road So Far
SCS Blog posted a topic in SCS BlogAt the start of this month, we began our On The Road season by attending the legendary Truckfest Peterborough in the UK. This year's show saw a record number of trucks in attendance (over 3,000+ !), in which we had a lot of fun checking out all the different variations on show, talking to trucking vloggers and best of all, meeting all of you from our community! We didn't want to forget such a great event, so our talented SCS Film Crew has put together a short after-movie which wraps up the event quite nicely. Can you spot yourself? But this wasn't the only event that we have visited so far. Along with our participation in this year's Open House Praha, we also attended Legendy 2019 on the weekend of May 18th which saw many of you from our home region, meet our team and have a try of our motion simulators. This past weekend, we also had the privilege of being present at the Scania Driver Competition finals held in Södertälje, Sweden. We also teamed up with Grammar at their stand for Round 1 of the ETRC Season in Misano, Italy. At both of these events, we had the privilege of meeting with representatives from well-known companies and putting our mark in the trucking industry. These events are a great way for us to connect with you, our community members, and we love meeting those who run different projects, create modifications or even beta test our games. They also present the unique opportunity to introduce ourselves to new companies in person, as well as strengthening our relationships with other leading truck industry partners too. As you can tell by these past events alone, we have had a large selection of companies to talk with! With many more stops ahead on our On The Road calendar, we can't wait to meet more of you from our community. We hope to see you soon!View the full article
